Carrie Oliver Rating: Easy Going Beef™

If you sat next to this dry-aged, grain-fed Black Angus steak at a party, he’d be the host who makes everyone feel welcome and important. This versatile steak will be easy to pair with just about any other dish on the plate.

Tasting Notes:

Today’s tasting notes come compliments of Jaden Hair, aka Steamy Kitchen. The steak had a some chew Texture, a sweet, bright, balanced, relatively reserved Personality and left a medium brief Impression.

Meet The Ranchers

Rancher Tiya Tonn-Oppold is a rancher and entrepreneur whose family began farming and ranching in Kansas in the late 1800s but has now expanded to include wholesale and retail butcher shops in Wichita and El Dorado. Satchel Creek’s cattle graze on 6,000 acres of native Blue Stem pastures and are then finished closer to the barn on a mix of grains & hays grown on the farm. You can also find this dry-aged beef online at Satchel Creek Steaks. We’re looking forward to co-hosting a tasting with Tiya on her family ranch this summer.
